Belgium’s largest hospital in Charleroi opened in 2024 with a major integrated design initiative led by Nicolas Belayew, Paul Marique, and Corinne Clarysse, commissioning fourteen Belgian artists to transform the hospital’s public spaces. Spanning more than 140 installations across 4,000 m², the project draws on the region’s landscape and values of care to embed art into daily hospital life through wallpapers.
In this installation of the D-S-EYE series, we will hear from Nicolas Belayew to take a closer look at this design project that blends healthcare with the power of design.
