
Zakaria Belhaj is an interdisciplinary research scholar in curriculum and instruction. His research focuses on adult learning theory, learner engagement, and instructional design in the context of higher education and corporate learning settings. Through his research, Zakaria examines how intentional instructional design and facilitation strategies influence adult learners’ engagement, with a particular focus on the impact of learning technologies and learning management systems.
Fluent in both French and Arabic, Zakaria brings a global background to his work. He has worked on applied research and personalization initiatives in the financial services industry. He is particularly interested in bridging theory and practice to design learning experiences that are both effective and engaging, while being career-relevant for learners.
