Continuing Student Registration and Billing Policy

All continuing students at the Design Studies Institute are required to adhere to the following registration and billing timelines and procedures.

Registration Deadlines

All continuing students must complete course registration no later than two (2) weeks before the first day of the academic term.

All residency course registrations must be completed no later than one hundred twenty (120) days prior to the first day of the term in which the residency occurs.

Failure to meet registration deadlines may result in limited course availability and/or administrative holds.

Billing Deadline

All continuing students must settle outstanding balances no later than one (1) week before the first day of the academic term.

For residency courses, all associated fees must be settled no later than ninety (90) days prior to the first day of the term in which the residency occurs.

Students with unpaid balances after the applicable deadlines may be subject to registration holds and/or administrative removal from courses.

Add/Drop Period

Students may make adjustments to their course schedules during the Institute’s published add/drop period. The add/drop period occurs during the first week of each term.

Any additional fees resulting from courses added during the add/drop period become due immediately at the time the change is processed. All resulting balances must be paid promptly and no later than the end of the add/drop period.

Courses dropped during the add/drop period will be processed in accordance with the Institute’s published Fee Refund Policy.
