Join the Design Studies Institute for a screening of Olympia Stone's 2012 documentary "The Cardboard Bernini," a fascinating dive into artist James Grashow's effort to build an enormous Bernini-esque fountain out of cardboard, with the express mission of leaving it outside to be eroded by the vicissitudes of weather and time. The film chronicles his vision, his struggles, and his life story, interspersed with his keen insights into the dueling ephemerality and immortality of art.
This online screening will be followed immediately by a discussion.
