Course Description

The course investigates how designers can generate new knowledge and theoretical contributions through design practice. Students will consider how designers' embodied ways of working, making, and knowing can advance knowledge production within the design disciplines. Students will unpack the underlying principles and methods involved in conducting practice-based design inquiries. Students will reflexively examine their own design processes and practices to reframe their design work as knowledge-producing design activity.
